NEW RESCUE AND REHABILITATION CENTRE IN PUERTO PRINCESA, PALAWAN PROVINCE, PHILIPPINES.
Due to the ongoing work SHuT are committed to in Palawan, they have been gifted a group of buildings in Puerto Princesa.
These buildings will be renovated to operate as a hosting facility / midway house for rescued persons. The facility will be safe and secure and have counselling rooms, a medical suite, processing office space plus private sleeping quarters for the rescued.
It is large enough for us to process approximately 35 people at any one time along with six volunteer staff and equipment.
SHuT are also committed to training an operations team as well as the local Government anti trafficking teams in 2025.

Malaysia

SHuT have partnered with SHuT Malaysia and are working to deliver training to the Malaysian all female team. SHuT will also recruit and train an operational team to conduct surveillance and evidence gathering against human traffickers. This is part of SHuT's initiative to train teams along the traffickers smuggling routes. This team will be comprised and run by survivors of human trafficking, trained by SHuT.

Thailand

ShuT conducted surveillance and research into the Thai fishing industry during 2016-2018. Subject to funding, SHuT will return to the fishing ports and canning factories in Thailand and continue their investigations. This work is due to commence in 2025.

It is with this cohesiveness of intelligence that we can implement real change and complete well planned and safe rescues.
We have identified the smuggler's routes from the Philippines into Sabah, Malaysia, and by training teams along these routes we will be able to substantially impact these trafficking operations.
